► Zamirlerin Temel Kuralları ve Kullanım İlkeleri
İngilizce'de 3 tekil, 3 çoğul olmak üzere 6 kişi zamiri vardır. Üçüncü tekil şahıs (“o”), cinsiyet ve türe göre üçe ayrılır: he (erkek), she (kadın), it (cansız nesne ve hayvanlar).
İngilizce'de zamir çoğul olduğunda hem yardımcı fiil hem de isim çoğul yapılır:
- This is a book. (Bu bir kitaptır. — Tekil)
- These are books. (Bunlar kitaptır. — Çoğul)
Not: Türkçe'de "Bunlar kitaptır" denir ve isim tekrar çoğul yapılmaz; ancak İngilizce'de These are books şeklinde isim de çoğul (-s) alır.
İsim cümlelerinde nesne olarak sayılabilen tekil bir isim varsa önüne "a / an" gelir. Yalnızca sıfat tek başına kullanılıyorsa "a / an" gelmez:
- Jane is a student. (Jane bir öğrencidir. — İsim var, 'a' kullanılır)
- Ayşe is beautiful. (Ayşe güzeldir. — Sadece sıfat var, 'a/an' kullanılmaz)
- She is a beautiful girl. (O güzel bir kızdır. — Sıfat tamlamasında isim olduğu için 'a' kullanılır)
Özne ve eylem aynı sözcük grubu içindeyse, eylemi yapan kişi olarak mutlaka özne biçimi kullanılır:
- I want to see the manager, please. (Müdürü görmek istiyorum lütfen.)
- She called her parents yesterday. (O dün ailesini aradı.)
Zamir eylemden bağımsızsa veya tek başına bir soruya yanıt oluyorsa nesne biçimi (me, him, her vb.) kullanılır:
- Who is there? — It's me, Peter. (Orada kim var? — Benim, Peter.)
- Who wants a drink? — Me, please. (Kim içecek istiyor? — Ben lütfen.)
İngilizce'de edatlardan (between, with, for, to, without vb.) sonra daima Object Pronoun (Nesne Zamiri) gelir:
- ❌ This is a secret between you and I. — (YANLIŞ)
- ✅ This is a secret between you and me. — (DOĞRU)
- ✅ She came to the cinema with us. (Bizimle sinemaya geldi.)

► Key Rules and Guidelines
Subject pronouns perform the action (She called me); object pronouns receive the action or follow prepositions (Listen to him, Come with us).
Possessive adjectives must always be followed by a noun, whereas possessive pronouns stand independently:
- This is my bag. → This bag is mine.
- That is her coat. → That coat is hers.
- Their car is fast, but ours is faster.
Used when the subject and the object of the verb are the same person: "He cut himself while shaving."
