Nouns (İsimler ve İsim Yapan Ekler)
İngilizce eğitiminde başarılı olmak ve akademik sınavlardan iyi sonuç almak için isimler (nouns) konusunun detaylı bir şekilde öğrenilmesi çok önemlidir.
Adlar; kişiler, hayvanlar, yer, nesne, olay, nitelik, etkinlik ve soyut fikirleri isimlendiren sözcüklerdir. Bir dilde "kim, nerede ve nedir" sorularına yanıt veren kelimelerdir. Her cümlede mutlaka bir ad bulunur, bu nedenle adlara cümlenin yapı taşları denir.

Bazen kelimenin sonuna gelen ekten (suffix), o kelimenin bir isim olduğunu anlayabiliriz. Fiil veya sıfatlara bu ekler getirilerek yeni isimler türetilir:
Teach (Fiil: Öğretmek) → Teacher (İsim: Öğretmen)
Happy (Sıfat: Mutlu) → Happiness (İsim: Mutluluk)
